Radiant barriers

Scope note

Highly reflective building materials with nonradiating properties, usually aluminum-foil-faced kraft paper or plastic film, placed in an airspace to block only radiant transfer from a heat-radiating surface, such as a hot roof, to a heat-absorbing surface, such as conventional attic insulation.
