Mouth organs of China having a bowl-shaped windchest of wood or metal with a short blowpipe extending out from the side, and bamboo pipes of varying lengths, usually 17 in number, arranged in an incomplete circle and mounted through holes in the top of the windchest. A free-beating reed of copper or an alloy is attached at the bottom of each pipe within the windchest. NGDMI
