Dung-chen

Scope note

Long straight metal end-blown trumpetlike instruments of Tibet, of conical bore, made of several sections which can be telescoped together when not in use, and with a large bell which usually rests on the ground or some other support during play. They are traditionally played in pairs in Buddhist ritual.
