Low, light, semi-open, four-wheeled carriages with an open perch in front for the driver and a seat for two passengers covered with a folding or half hood; developed in the second half of the 19th century and used mainly as park carriages. By extension, may also be used for semi-open touring automobiles with a folding top covering only the rear seat.
