Concord coaches

Scope note

Use for public coaches with sturdy, large, ovoid bodies with curved panels set on three-perch, throughbrace suspension and having large amounts of baggage space, seating six, nine, or twelve passengers, and often having additional seating on the roof; designed in the United States from the 1820s until the early 20th century.
