Cylindrical with recessed base, and domed cover, with an unglazed flange which fits inside the jar, and an applied knob in the shape of a rose bud, a smaller undeveloped bud, and three leaves on a stalk. The jar is decorated with one large floral spray comprising a tulip, a rose, forget-me-knots, convolvulus and pink daisies, and four smaller floral sprays. The cover is decorated with one large and one small floral spray, and has a dark puce band round the outer edge. Soft-paste porcelain, thrown, lead-glazed, and painted overglaze in blue, green, yellow, and rose-pink enamels, height, whole, 16.4 cm, height, jar, 11.9 cm, diameter, jar, 8.7 cm, diameter, cover, 9 cm, circa 1750- 1760. Rococo.
