An image of Plaque of Apollo Musagetes. Wedgwood & Bentley, Staffordshire. Oval, the god stands on a projecting base, resting his left elbow on his lyre which stands upright on a tripod stand. There are two holes in the reverse behind the base, and four behind the figure. Jasper, pale bluish-grey with darker blue surface and press-moulded and applied white relief, height, whole, 16.7 cm, width, whole, 11.7 cm,  
circa 1775- 1780. Neoclassical. Production Note: This Apollo from a set of Apollo and the Muses is probably the one partly supplied by Flaxman Senior in March 1775: Apollo, Melpomene, Thalia and Terpsichore, Euterpe.
