Chinese style tea bowl, New Hall Factory

An image of Tea Bowl/Cup. New Hall Porcelain Factory, Staffordshire. Circular with deep curved sides, standing on a footring. The exterior is decorated with a Chinese garden scene. Standing in front of a red fence is man wearing a long yellow gown with a blue collar and puce tie, holding a red sunshade, and a boy wearing yellow trousers, and a blue and puce tunic, who holds a red child's windmill in his left hand, and a flower on a stem in his right. On the left of the man is a flowering plant and to the right of the boy, a flower in a red vase. On the other side of the cup there is a plant growing on a small area of lawn. The bottom of the interior is decorated with a black and green a sprig, and round the rim is a border of puce scallops, a narrow red wavy line, and groups of four blue dots at regular intervals. Pattern no. 20. Hybrid hard-paste porcelain, thrown (or possibly jiggered?) painted in enamels, lead-glazed, height, whole, 5 cm, diameter, whole, 8.2 cm, circa 1785-1795. Chinese Style.
