An image of Illuminated Manuscript. Cutting. Folio 4 verso. Miniature from a Laudario, part of a Lauda for St. Peter. Bonaguida, Pacino di, and associates. Parchment, gold, 195 mm x 220 mm, miniature 180 mm x 205 mm, circa 1330-1340. Gothic Bookhand (textualis). Production Place: Florence, Italy. 
DECORATION: Large framed miniature on blue background: St Mary Magdalene in the wilderness around Aix is being carried by angels to St Maximin who administers her last communion. ORNAMENTATION: Alternate blue and red penwork initials [1-2 ll.] with red or violet pen-flourished infill and extensions for the beginning of stanzas on reverse. The reverse, which was the recto in the original manuscript, preserves the folio number LXXXXIIII and part of a lauda for St Peter. The lauda would have marked the feast of Saints Peter and Paul (29 June) and must have been introduced by the miniature of their martyrdoms.
