Tin-glazed Earthenware / Plate. Vauxhall Pottery. The well is decorated with a cockerel, a potted plant beside a basket, and a branching floral spray, enclosed by a narrow blue circle. The rim is decorated with eight oval panels, each containing a floral spray, reserved in a blue ground. Buff earthenware, moulded, covered with greyish tin-glaze, and painted in blue, green, yellow, and red high-temperature (metallic oxide) colours; three peg marks on the back of the rim, diameter, whole, 19.5, cm, circa 1725-1735. London.
