Pineapple jug. Unidentified factory, England. Cream earthenware jug, press moulded in the shape of a pineapple, with a short slightly flaring cylindrical neck, a loop handle and a slim circular foot-rim. The outside is moulded to represent both the fruit and the leaves, the former covered by bright yellow-gold glaze and the latter with a thin green glaze. The interior is tinged pink. Earthenware, press moulded and coated with clear and coloured glazes, height, whole, 14 cm, width, whole, 12 cm, 19th century.
