Hunting Mug. Vauxhall Pottery. Decorated with a hare hunt, an inn sign of Queen Ann between Beefeaters, Boscobel Oaks each harbouring a head of future Charles II, and inscription, ‘Drink about Boys to the Pious Memory of Queen Ann/Mary Bayley/1730’. Grey-buff/brown stoneware, thrown and turned, with applied moulded reliefs, hand-modelled trees, and incised decoration and inscription, height, whole, 21.5 cm, width, whole, 29 cm, 1730. London. English.
