Jewellery. Pendant in the shape of a Gothic Reliquary Shrine. Wilson, Henry (British, 1864-1934). Gold, set with coloured gemstones cut en cabochon, including opals, sapphires, chrysoprases and emeralds, the 'buttresses' with pearl finials. The front opens to reveal an enamelled figure of the Virgin and Child, modelled in the round against a silver leafy tree. The base is set with an oval cabochon fire opal. Height, whole, 7.2 cm, width, whole, 2.6 cm, circa 1864-1934. Acquisition Credit: Given by Mrs J. Hull Grundy.
