Illuminated manuscript. Cutting. Initial from an Antiphoner. Production Place: Italy, Bologna. Parchment, 64 x 66 mm, one four-line musical stave ruled in red ink and one line of fragmentary text on reverse, circa 1350 to circa 1375. CONTENTS: On reverse, fragmentary text: [â¦]nes[â¦]; the initial would have introduced the antiphon at First Vespers for Pentecost, Dum complerentur, or the responsory to the first lesson at Matins, also Dum complerentur. DECORATION: Historiated initial in shell pink on a gold ground: [D] Group of men looking upwards, probably Pentecost.
