Anthony Crane (Fairfield House Eastry, Sandwich, Kent) grandson of the artist identifies this drawing as the design for an embroidered panel in a decorative cabinet in his possession. The cabinet was also designed by Crane and the panesl (6 in all) embroidered by his wife Mary Francis. (1979-08-23).
