"This book, the second of a series of limited editions published by the Museum of Modern Art under the direction of Monroe Wheeler has been designed, illustrated and printed by Leonard Baskin at the Gehenna press, Northampton, Mass. ... The Perpetua type has been set by hand. The illustrations have been printed from six original boxwood engravings and one cherry woodcut on Amalfi Italian hand-made paper and on Moriki and Mending Tissue, both hand-made in Japan.
