Description

Linen skirt border embroidered with polychrome silks in Cretan feather, satin, fishbone, split stem, whipped stem and chain stitch with French knots. Five widths of linen which were originally from the bottom of a traditional skirt or chemise. The colour scheme changes from one end to the other, the dominant red gradually giving way to a palette of lighter greens, blues, yellows and creams.
