The paired, broad-leaf, repeat pattern is very similar to that found on embroidery attributed not only to another Cycladic island Milos, but also to Kos, Patmos and Rhodes in the Dodecanese. The distinguishing feature of Amorgos work is believed to be in the combination of three colours: red, green and beige, brown or purple.
