Description

Linen pillowcase embroidered in polychrome silks (black, brown, cream, green, pink, red, yellow and buff) in double darning, double running, fishbone and satin stitch. The edging is executed in bebilla stitch.

The pattern is of a large cock perched upon a spray of stylized flowers, whilst more flowers sprout from the animals breast and tail. The bebilla lace edging is composed of four triangles in each colour of the embroidery.
