Linen band sampler worked with polychrome silks in double running, chain, cross, Montenegrin cross, satin, and trellis stitch with bullion knots and woven bosses. The selvedges are plain at the top and bottom and the sides are hemmed. There are sixteen bands of mainly floral horizontal repeating border patterns; the sixth includes 'boxers'. The lower three contain an alphabet and the inscription '1648/ REBEKAH FISHER WI'.
