Maker: Bray, Mary
Band sampler, linen, embroidered with polychrome silks in bullion, cross, eyelet hole, Holbein, satin and trellis stitch. The sampler comprises 14 horizontal bands, twelve of which are filled with repeat border patterns; the sampler also features two alphabets in eyelet hole stitch, 'boxers' and the inscription 'Mary Bray'.
