Band sampler, linen, embroidered with polychrome silks in chain, cross, darning, double running, double back, rococco, Roumanian, satin and trellis stitch. The sampler comprises five horizontal bands. The first two have an alphabet; initials and date worked while the remainder are taken up by repeat border patterns. The inscription reads 'FI 1666'.
