Band sampler, linen, embroidered with linen and polychrome silk threads in cross, double running and satin stitch. The sampler comprises 27 horizontal bands containing alphabets, repeat border patterns, 'Boxers' wearing hats and the inscriptions 'ANN SKINNER', and 'I AM A MAIDE BVT YOUNG/MY SKILL IS YET BVT SM/ALL I HOPE THAT GOD W/ILL BLESS ME SO THAT IS/HALL LIVE TO MEND THIS ALL NOVEMBER 22 1672'.
