Band sampler, linen, embroidered with polychrome silks in double running, cross, satin and eyelet stitch. There is a selvedge at the top and bottom and the sides are turned under and stitched. The sampler comprises 16 horizontal bands of repeat border patterns, two alphabets and the inscription 'IONNA WALDO 1673' in the final band.
