Band sampler, linen, embroidered with linen and polychrome silk threads in cross, eyelet hole, double running and satin stitch. The sampler comprises 13 horizontal bands which feature colourful repeat border patterns, an alphabet, the name 'ANN TURNER', and the inscription 'APPArreLL h/ ThY SeLF Wjt/IVStice AND F/CLOth ThY SeL/WIth ChAStit/ ie SO ShALt/ThOV Bee haP/PI ANd ThY/ WOrKS PrOSP/er".
