Description

Band sampler, linen, embroidered with linen and polychrome silk threads in cross, double hem, double running, satin and needle lace filling stitches. The sampler comprises eight horizontal bands featuring repeat border patterns, an alphabet, the initials 'HT' and the date 'July 11 1689'.
