Band sampler, linen, embroidered with polychrome silks and linen thread in chain, cross, double running, satin, eyelethole, & needle lace filling stitches The sampler comprises 15 horizontal bands of repeat border patterns, three alphabets, the date '1694' and the inscription 'SARAH HACKeT'.

Weaving : Band sampler, linen, embroidered with polychrome silks and linen thread in cross, double running, satin, Rumanian, eyelet, trellis, filling and hemstitch. There is a selvedge at the top and bottom and the sides are turned under and stitched.
