Band sampler, linen, embroidered with polychrome silk and linen threads in cross, eyelet hole and satin stitch. The sampler comprises 15 horizontal bands with repeat border patterns, alphabets, and the inscriptions "MAde THIS IN The YeAr" , "1699', ' ElizeBeth DA / VIeS 1699 IN the O Lor dd" and. "O GreAt God Are Not The RAVeNS Feed By / The ANd WILLt THOU CLOVth The LILLeeS / ANd NOt Me IeLL NeAre DIStrvst MY GOd / FOr RAMeNt NOR Yet For BreAd WhiLest / The LILLeeS FLORISH ANd THe RAVeNS Fed'.
