Band sampler, linen, embroidered with polychrome silks in cross and Florentine stitch. the sampler comprises 10 horizontal bands which include alphabets, lozenges, hearts, crowns, Fleur-de Lys, stars, the name 'Katherine Arthur, the date '1745' and the inscription 'IN THE YEAR OF OVR LORD 1745'.
