The sampler comprises 16 horizontal bands which include alphabets, numerals, repeat border patterns, strawberries, crowns, birds and the inscription 'See how the lilies flourish white/and fair see how the ravens fed/from heaven then neer distr/ust thy god for cloth and bread/whilst lilies flourish and the rave/ns fed. EW October the 21 1755/Elizabeth Weight in the 12th year of her age 1755'.
