Bordered sampler, linen, embroidered with polychrome silks in cross-stitch. A border frames the main body of the sampler which is divided into two sections. The top section comprises alphabets and numerals, the bottom section a vase of flowers, birds, a crown, a dog, a sprig of flowers and the inscription 'M.A. Pardoe 1824'.
