Maker: Eliot, Mary
Band sampler, linen, embroidered with polychrome silks in cross and eyelet hole stitch; the edges are turned under and hemmed. The top of the sampler is made up of six, narrow, horizontal border line designs, these are followed by 15 horizontal bands, separated by more line designs, which include alphabets, numerals and the inscription 'Mary Eliot her work may 17/1737'.
