Production: Unidentified
Band sampler, linen, embroidered with silk thread in back, cross and eyelet hole stitch. The top is filled with five bands of alphabets, below this about thirty detached motifs including figures, animals, birds, a church, a farmhouse, flowers a pump, furniture and a seated figure are worked. Across the bottom another ten designs are arranged to form a rural scene.
History note: Purchased in Leeuwarden and given to the donor by Mary Minet. Exhibited at the Fine Art Society
