Linen spot motif sampler embroidered in polychrome silks in cross-stitch. Three edges are hemmed and there is a selvedge at the top left side. The sampler consists of a large number of detached motifs including flowerpots, furniture, animals (parrots, deer, dog, wolf, birds), trees, vines, a mermaid, a sailboat, and a townhouse and 'Solomon's Temple'. The thirty-nine motifs are enclosed in a narrow border with a secondary border along the bottom of conventional bird motifs and a selection of buildings.
