Linen sampler embroidered with polychrome cottons in cross, double hem, back and double running stitch. The edges are finished with a double hemstitch and each corner is trimmed with three swatches of knotted cottons. Within the narrow border there is an alphabet, numerals, several detached motifs including a rabbit and a stork, repeat patterns and an inscription which reads 'Giorni Lieti Assisi Aprile 1912'.
