Description

The double-paper leaf is painted 'en grisaille' in bodycolour; on the reverse is painted a grey spray of flowers. The sticks and guards are of ivory, shaped, painted and carved on the guards. Backed with gold foil. This fan may have been used for 'half-mourning'.
