Folding fan of double silk. Painted with a woman and a child leading a sheep. The leads are of applied painted ivory, their clothing and other decorations are embroidered in gold sequins. Sticks and guards of horn inland with cut steels, the guards also having blue stones.
History note: Colonel Leonard C. Messel (1872-1953); his daughter Anne, Countess of Rosse (1902-1992)
