Description

Wood sticks and guards lacquered black, and decorated in red and two shades of gold lacquer (19+2). Red silk ribbon. Metal rivet.
Front and Reverse: In a fan-shaped panel, Chinese figures on a diapered background surrounded by a scrolled frame.
On the head, scrolls on a diapered background. Above the ribbon arched panels containing single figures of men and women in interior settings. In the centre of each side there is a plain black oval panel.
Guards: On the fronts a floral design in gold and red on a diapered ground; on the back a different floral design in gold on a diapered ground.
