Brisé fan, sticks of pierced and gilt ivory with a small length of tortoiseshell at the base of the guards. Rivet heads of cut paste. Leaf painted in colours and gilt. On the back, a central large gilt floral spray flanked by smaller sprays. Border of wavy foliage. On the front, two men in Turkish dress are restraining a young woman, watched by another woman standing to the left; landscape background, with an urn and buildings. Border of flowers and scrolls. Gilt edge.
