"Originally given as a talk to the Library Patrons of Occidental College and subsequently published in Hoja Volante, the quarterly of the Zamorano Club, The poet and the professor is printed using W. A. Dwiggins' Stuyvesant type, an experimental design, never publicity released, by Richard J. Hoffman, Van Nuys, California and bound by Bela Blau, Los Angeles, as a keepsake for Fay Ellen and Lawrence Clark Powell for the patrons and other friends"--Colophon. Quater bound in cloth with patterned red paper sides.
