Description

Wide-ended folding fan, decorated, obverse: with the immortal Chokaro in a landscape with pine and lake, releasing his magic horse from the gourd; reverse: with a fruiting spray of? cotoneaster. Guards: with modified cat's eye pattern (nekome). Guards: bamboo, lacquered and pierced. Sticks: lacquered bamboo. Face: heavy paper, painted, obverse; in polychrome opaque watercolours and gold; reverse: in polychrome opaque watercolours on a mica- dressing, with scattered gold.
