Brisé fan, tortoiseshell (15+2) pierced, engraved and set with roundels of mother-of-pearl; cream silk ribbon; tortoiseshell strengtheners at the lower ends of the guards and tortoiseshell carrying loop. The sticks are pierced with bands of dots linked by lines, asterisks, groups of dots linked by lines, stylized flower heads and groups of dots linked by lines. The centres of the flower heads are formed by mother-of-pearl roundels of which there are six on each guard.
