BINDING: nineteenth century, blue velvet over pasteboard with boards ruled in blind, edges gilt and gauffered, silk endbands

DECORATION: Half-page miniature in gold frame surrounded by a full floral and acanthus border including a roundel with a bust of Christ blessing in the lower bar: fol. 13r Hours of the Virgin, Matins, Adoration of the Child.

ORNAMENTATION: Gold initial [D, 2 ll.] on green, magenta and blue ground with white stylized foliate ornament for Matins of the Hours of the Virgin (fol. 13r); alternate red and blue initials [2 ll.] with violet or red pen flourishing; alternate red and blue one-line initials; catchwords surrounded by penwork decoration; capitals highlighted in yellow.
