Description

Gold, set with an oval chalcedony intaglio over foil. Device: a wreathed bust of Julius Caesar, cloak brooched at the shoulder facing in profile to the left, palm branch, star, lituus and sacrificial cup in the field. Inscribed on the reverse of the bezel 'James Sparrow/Ob: 1st March/1797'.
