Conch shell surrounded by iron pyrites (marcasites) set in silver openwork. Each earring is composed of two convex oval pieces of shell, surrounded by iron pyrites, and flanked by two small silver openwork leaves set with iron pyrites. A figure-of-eight of silver is attached to the hinged ring which passes through the ear from the back.
