Silversmith: BI or RI
Silver; large hemispherical bowl with removable rim with scroll border
Silver; the body of the large hemisperical bowl is embossed with bats-wing fluting. In the front there is an oval cartouche containing a crest within an engraved Baroque border. The bowl stands on a stepped and spreading circular foot with a gadroon border. The removable rim has an applied scroll border, which is decorated with matting and scalework. Beneath this is chased a narrow border of matt scallops and punched flowers. The base is inscribed 'The token of/ Mr. Jasper Roth/ to his friend/ Aldn. James Clark'.
