Description

Silver-gilt; the shallow bowl with central medallion, with engraved bands of scrollwork; standing on a stem with central knop above a domed circular foot embossed with strpwork

Silver-gilt; the shallow bowl is engraved with two borders of crolling foliage. In the slightly raised centre is an applied medallion of the bust of a warrior. The knoped stem and domed foot are embossed and chased with strapwork, fruit and flowers. The side of the bowl is prick engraved with the initials 'WP' over 'IE' and the base of the foot is prick engraved 'IE'.
