White earthenware described as 'pearl', decorated with turquoise enamel and gilt; 'Selina' shape. In the centre is a gilt rosette; on the rim, a turquoise band between a formal gilt border and a band of gilt scallops.

Production date: circa AD 1867 : According to Robin Reilly, Wedgwood, The New Illustrated Dictionary, Woodbridge, 1995, p. 504, 'PEARL' was impressed on pearl body between about 1840-68. The impressed three letters 'AMV' indicate the month April, and the year either 1867 or 1893.
