  • Text: Principle of size / Medium or large Apples universal bright / Exceptions / Some still a little larger & / some very much smaller - often / in gradated clusters / Gen. effect in Bright sun the whole / tree apples & leaves very golden / in the same tree will be / some boughs of darker apples / dim in relief but exquisite / in finish / boughs net in size to smallest / twigs - are I think of a crusty / texture and a pale dead gold (all of preceding section erased) Apple boughs fall in long shapes / like the branches - or the / same foreshortened which / is fine. the boughs are / pull'd down by the / weight. NB some / trail along on the / green gound.
