History note: Ralph Willett, his sale (Philipe), 7 April 1813 and five following days, sixth day, lot 673 ('The Works of BERNARD PICART, in 3 large vol. folio, magnificently bound in red morocco, gilt leaves, and broad border of gold on the sides. containing scriptural and historical prints, subjectss of fancy, portraits, titles, vignettes, &c. many proofs, and others very rare, consisting of above 900 prints, besides medals - a rare collection'), £48.0.0 to 'W'.
